Elle se forme lorsque les atomes mettent en commun une ou plusieurs paires d\u2019\u00e9lectrons. Ainsi, chaque atome partage des \u00e9lectrons de sa couche externe avec un autre atome afin d\u2019atteindre une configuration plus stable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img partag\u00e9s entre les atomes :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Si une seule paire d\u2019\u00e9lectrons est partag\u00e9e, la liaison est <strong>simple<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Si deux paires d\u2019\u00e9lectrons sont partag\u00e9es, la liaison est <strong>double<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Si trois paires d\u2019\u00e9lectrons sont partag\u00e9es, la liaison est <strong>triple<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour qu\u2019une liaison covalente se forme, trois conditions doivent \u00eatre remplies :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Les deux atomes doivent \u00eatre des <strong>non-m\u00e9taux<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>La diff\u00e9rence d\u2019\u00e9lectron\u00e9gativit\u00e9 entre eux doit \u00eatre <strong>inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 1,7<\/strong> (\u00e9chelle de Pauling).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Les atomes doivent respecter la <strong>r\u00e8gle du duet ou de l\u2019octet<\/strong> afin d\u2019\u00eatre stables.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">La liaison ionique<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>La liaison ionique est une liaison chimique qui se forme entre deux ions lorsque la diff\u00e9rence d\u2019\u00e9lectron\u00e9gativit\u00e9 est importante, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement entre un <strong>m\u00e9tal<\/strong> et un <strong>non-m\u00e9tal<\/strong> :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Le m\u00e9tal <strong>perd<\/strong> un ou plusieurs \u00e9lectrons et devient un <strong>cation<\/strong> (ion positif).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Le non-m\u00e9tal <strong>gagne<\/strong> ces \u00e9lectrons et devient un <strong>anion<\/strong> (ion n\u00e9gatif).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Les ions obtenus respectent \u00e9galement la <strong>r\u00e8gle du duet ou de orient\u00e9e ni localis\u00e9e<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dans un cristal ionique, les ions sont <strong>fixes<\/strong> et interagissent entre eux dans <strong>toutes les directions de l\u2019espace<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Un cristal ionique n\u2019est <strong>pas constitu\u00e9 de mol\u00e9cules<\/strong>, mais d\u2019un r\u00e9seau ordonn\u00e9
