Galatasaray University exam is held in two stages on the same day. The number of questions and duration of these stages are as follows: (*The exam system updated in 2018 is explained!) 

Stage I: 90 Questions (150 minutes 09:00-11:30) 

40 Mathematics

15 Turkish

25 French

II. stage:
Verbal Sciences: 40 questions (75 minutes 12:30-13:45)

15 French, 10 Turkish Language and Literature, 3 General History, 3 Revolutions, 3 Geography, 3 Sociology, 3 Philosophy
 

Numerical Sciences: 40 questions (75 Minutes 14:15-15:30)

20 Mathematics, 10 Physics, 5 Chemistry, 5 Biology

*Numerical Sciences Exam; Departments of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology and the Department of Mathematics of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences,

*Social Sciences Exam; For students who will choose the French Language and Literature program of the Faculty of Law, Faculty of Communication, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Departments of Economics, Business Administration, International Relations and Political Sciences, and Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Philosophy, Department of Sociology or Department of Comparative Linguistics and Applied Languages. These are exams held separately. 
 

The Stage II exam duration for Social Sciences or Numerical Sciences is 90 minutes. Candidates of both parties II. They can take the stage exam consecutively.

*Students of high schools where philosophy and/or sociology courses are taught in Turkish will answer philosophy and/or sociology questions in Turkish, and students of high schools where courses are taught in French will answer philosophy and/or sociology questions in French.

The candidate's GSÜÖSYS exam will only be evaluated if he/she meets the following conditions in the Undergraduate Placement Exam (TYT - YKS) organized nationwide by ÖSYM affiliated with YÖK, in accordance with the University Management Decision:
 

  • Candidates who choose the departments of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology and the Department of Mathematics of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences are ranked according to the LYS placement score of the first 25000 candidates from at least one of the MF-1, MF-2, MF-3, MF-4 score types (score above the corresponding placement score). located within the area);
  • Candidates who choose the French Language and Literature program of the Departments of Social Sciences and the Department of Comparative Linguistics and Applied Languages of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences will be selected from the TM-1, TM-2, TM-3, TS-1, TS-2 score types in the ranking made according to the LYS placement score. at least one of them is among the top 25000 candidates (who score above the corresponding placement score);
  • Candidates who choose both fields are required to meet the requirements of the relevant field.
  • However, in order for the exams of Turkish citizen candidates who are entitled to receive the French Baccalaureate in the 2009-2010 academic year in secondary education institutions in Turkey to be evaluated, they are required to have passed the "Baccalaureat" specified below, regardless of the above-mentioned conditions, as stipulated according to their LYS results.
  • Those who choose the departments of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology and the Department of Mathematics of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences will receive the title "Bac. Sciences” ,
  • Those who choose the French Language and Literature program of the Department of Social Sciences and the Department of Comparative Linguistics and Applied Languages of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences can choose the "Bac. Litteraire”, “Bac. Economie-Sociale” or “Bac. Sciences”,
  • Candidates who choose both fields are required to meet the requirements of the relevant fields.
