Saint Michel High School was founded in 1886 by the Freers of Christian Schools on Ağa Hamam Street in the Beyoğlu District. The school, which had 25 students at that time, became well-known in a short time thanks to its good education and continued to develop and grow. By 1923, the year the Republic of Turkey was founded, the school population reached 458 students. Today, Saint Michel High School has approximately 500 students.
Thanks to the service and quality of its education, it plays an active role in the education of our country's youth. Students with a five-year education life; They complete their education by attending the preparatory class, where the emphasis is on French and where Mathematics, Science and Computer courses are taught in French, and four years of high school. The school also offers many "Elective Course" options, mainly Science, Turkish-Mathematics and Social.
The school provides students with a wide range of artistic activities and a conducive environment for their personal development. As a matter of fact, the school offers theater activities in French, English and Turkish, as well as many art activities such as ceramics, painting, cartoons, music, photography, etc.
Other clubs that complement our education are French and English United Nations Model (MUN), environment, fashion, journalism ethics, social assistance (helping young disabled people, work with autistics, visually impaired people, etc.), sports, gastronomy, chemistry, broadcast-communication and culture. literature, chess, civil defense and values education.
In the light of Lasallian education based on the values of brotherhood and social solidarity, the educational institution serves to respect different views and thoughts and to increase human values and intellectual development. Although Saint Michel High School aims to raise "enlightened people", it acts faithfully to the Lasallian traditions of taking care of the education of young people in difficult situations and keeping its doors open to them.
