As a result of the efforts made throughout the period, the awaited report card day has finally arrived. Even if the results are good, bad, below or above expectations, it should not be forgotten that report cards are a performance evaluation and a document given to students to see how they are doing. In this context; If you are a student who is not satisfied with your grade, it is important to create a road map on how you can improve this grade by achieving gains or closing deficiencies before the second semester starts. Since the end of the first semester causes relief for students with high grades, the second semester, with the effect of the spring months, may cause a decrease in the desire to study and a loss of interest in classes, making it difficult to keep the grades at the same level. So, how can you spend the break between semesters in the most beneficial way in both cases?
How can I improve my grades?
First of all, no matter what the outcome is, it is important to think that you deserve a holiday to start with. Sometimes, unsatisfactory results may have been obtained due to only starting to study fewer days before the exam, sometimes due to study schedules that could not be followed due to the intensity of the exam weeks, or due to deficiencies in previous knowledge and/or lack of French knowledge. Although figuring out exactly which part is the problem is a starting step. Creating a schedule of at least 6 days out of 14, 1 day of rest, 1 day of work, or one week of vacation and one week of free time studying, and sticking to the program can enable you to start the new term more comfortably and safely.
How do I protect my notes?
Students who finish the first term with a very good performance may sometimes experience a decrease in their exam results and general condition due to the spring months and the thought of "I can do it anyway". Since the interrelationship of the subjects learned and the fact that the information to be learned in the new semester in many branches is critical for the following year, it is important not to allow the information to be forgotten during the holiday and to be clear about entering the second semester with a similar effort to the first semester.
We wish all students a nice report card holiday and hope that their success will continue and increase in the second term.
